Why is it that all you types want to know a dwarf's life history? Can't you just accept that not all of us have done fascinating things with our lives. Just because we're a proper sort of build, and don't look like we're stretched on a rack, doesn't mean that we're more likely to go charging off into danger than anyone else. When you get right down to it, we're less likely to... we're part of what's right with the world, so we can be content to let others deal with the problems they've created. Still here? Ok, ok. I'm Od, son of Brogan, Builder of the City of Llorn. Phhht. No, I didn't build the city of Llorn, you dimwit. I'm identifying my guild. We're registered with the Merchant's Guild, of course, but by banding into a sub-guild, we're able to cover for those who have a bit of a rough year. My family hasn't had a rough year in my century of life, nor in any of the three centuries my grandfather has been head of the Solid Edge Building Company.

My great-great grandfather, Egil Bjarkisson, came down out of the Bruu-Ga-Belimar, and helped to build Llorn, and then established the Solid Edge Building Company, which he passed on to Thorolf Egilsson, who in turn passed it on to Od Thorolfsson, who still runs it today. I'm the fifth Master Builder in our line; given twenty more years, my boys Egil and Bjarki should be the seventh and eigth. Their mother, may Epim keep her close, passed on giving birth to my girl Thorgerd... she's just old enough now to apprentice to her grandfather.

Our family has always held to the Northern Gods, especially Belimar, the Builder. Each act of creation by a dwarf is an homage to Belimar, be it pounding out a sword, shaping a breastplate, or planing down a board and setting it into a house frame. Because of this, he blessed us with the finest hands and greatest building skills of all the races. Only when a dwarf's hands are building something is it perfectly made; a dwarf's hand in the creation of something makes it holy. The Gods of Light and Darkness don't understand the need for a dwarf to build; drove that Bes mad, it did, them trying to keep him from building a better world. They may know magic and other unholy things, but they just don't understand the rightness of the world... a rightness that you find in the hands of a dwarf, creating the world one piece at a time.

Od Brogansson
Real Name: Od Holten (the Holten family name is kept a secret; it's tradition to go by the father's name plus the suffix of -sson or -dottir, and pretend that is the actual tradition within the family)

Description: Od is tall for a dwarf, with blue-black hair and blue eyes. He tends to have a very distinct superiority complex... dwarves are simply the best there are, and he's the best of the dwarves. Others who follow the Northern Gods (especially Belimar) are marginally better than others... and those who follow the Gods of Light are just pitiful.
